The best kitchen storage hacks don’t cost much or require a renovation. They find the space you already have and put it to work.
$12
Look up, not out. In our own kitchen, a $12 two-pack of risers turned one crammed cabinet into two usable levels overnight.
Every cabinet door is a blank wall you’re not using. Adhesive or over-the-door racks turn that flat surface into storage for lids, foil, cutting boards, and spices.
Counters shrink a kitchen when they’re covered. Magnetic and hanging storage moves daily items onto walls and the fridge instead.
Some of the best storage hacks cost almost nothing. A magazine file screwed or stuck inside a cabinet holds foil boxes upright. Tension rods create dividers for baking sheets or a hanging bar for spray bottles. Dollar Tree bins corral snacks for a dollar apiece.
Bulky appliances eat counters and cabinets fast. The fix is a mix of vertical stacking and getting rarely-used machines out of prime zones.
The under-sink cabinet stays a mess because the plumbing gets in the way. Work around it, not against it.
